A small group of anti-Muslim demonstrators will gather on Winchester Blvd on Saturday to challenge Sharia Law, which is not a real threat at all. It might have been best to ignore them, but a demonstration of support for immigrants and members of all religions, or none at all, has been planned for the same time, at Stevens Creek Blvd and Santana Row. It would be best to have a really large turn out for our group supporting all our neighbors to show that most people are not afraid of Muslims or immigrants. The Unity Vigil and rally starts at 11:00 AM.
The second demonstration to support also starts at 11:00 AM and runs until 3:00 PM. It is a celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Supreme Court decision Loving vs Virginia which put an end to racial discrimination in marriage laws. The Loving Day Celebration will take place at Parque De Los Pobladores where First Street and Market Street meet.
It seems it would be possible to do the Unity Vigil and Rally from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM then head over to show your support for the other group from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
